when the MOOR HEN injures her leg, the MASTIFF is there to care for her. but as the MASTIFF grows accustomed to their life on the ground, the MOOR HEN feels an inescapable call to the sky. a conflict of essential natures and the difference between love & ownership ensues. an experiment in cross-collaboration between stage & film, THE MASTIFF & THE MOOR HEN is a short filmed scene from Jen Silverman’s play The Moors.
